Transform
Hair Today ...
Tuesday was a day of transformation.
I'd booked myself in for a hair cut and it never ceases to amaze the powerful trans-formative powers of a really good restyle (heartfelt thanks to Marion at Jinti's in Cheriton).
It is seldom that I am at a loss for words, but having my hair washed or played with leaves me speechless. Possibly it's that Inner Child connection, having your hair washed is so reminiscent of childhood. I become quiet and contemplative. I trust that my body will not have a myolonic jerk and my stylist graciously accepts my apologies for my total lack of societal small talk, accepting that I am totally blissed out. I honour what my body needs.
My restyle was quite extensive, my general cycle of hair is short bob...hair grows longer...inevitably scraped back into a pony tail...then the cycle is completed with hack back to short bob. This time I went for a restyle, I took a pic and listened to the advice from the lovely Marion that I would be losing a battle with a poker straight blunt layers. I was encouraged to embrace my curls and I quite literally left bouncing out of the salon.
Our hair is so often our crowning glory. To have a radical change of style can transform our image. We are evolving beings and we flow with change, our wants, needs, attitudes and perceptions all alter with time and we should not be afraid to embrace this.
It possibly should have come as no surprise that when I later checked out the awesome Lisa Lister's Sassy She Oracle Card Reading the card pulled was Transform. I came back from Birmingham ‘Heal Your Life' ® Teacher Training transformed. I think the 'new doo' is an outward manifestation of the inner changes that I am undertaking. I never would believe that I would ever look to become a self employed workshop leader. I am thoroughly enjoying learning about starting up a business, promoting myself on social media, exploring joint ventures.
